PJ Dirt Grips

Does anyone know the breakdown of the plys on a 35/12.5/17. I've been looking all over the web trying to find info on their construction. If anyone runs this specific size... I'd appreciate any info.

The specs at the PJ Dirt Grips site give all info except the # of plys that make up the tread, sidewall etc..

Thanks!

They are E rated 35X12.50R17/E and that is 10-ply right.

If you are asking me if that is the size I'm looking for that would be correct, however I'm really looking for info on the construction... The number of plies in the sidewall, the tread etc...

I've found a number of 10ply E range tires out there that only have 2ply sidewalls or 2ply tread. The Vortrac is a perfect example, as well as the E rated Nitto TG's. While these tires may ride nice, they are much lighter duty overall, especially for towing or hauling a load.

Anyway, thanks for the reply, and if anyone else can chime in with any info/help regarding the Dirt Grips, please do!

Aren't they made by Cooper??? If so, try to cross reference or something.

I have no idea, I emailed the website's tech help, and will hopefully get a response back. They do state on the their spec page that the tread is 4ply, 2 nylon, 2 steel. I overlooked it at the top. Nothing about sidewalls though.

The Dirt Grips are a Parnelli Jones product and they do offer "E" rated tires.

Dirt Grips

I had a set of 38's on my lifted Ford Excursion, they are great tires.

Two steel belts and two polyester radial plies in tread area. I like the look of this tire. I may have to start saving more for these instead of the Vortrac.
Very nice:

Dont know about plies but they have soft sidewalls which leads me to believe their not lots of plies, also pj's are one of best all around tires ,only issue being massive high speed feathering!!!!sidewalls soft to conform to rocks for traction off road!
