33's or 35's

I have an 03 2500, im putting a leveling kit on so im gonna go a little larger with the tires to. i know it will clear 35's but how well it affect my gas mileage. will 33's look to small? how does the 33's or 35's affect gas mileage, does it make a big difference. im looking to get something semi-aggressive. thanks for any advice.

Ive had both on my truck. The 35s where with factoy wheels. I could get somewhere around 20mpg with them. They didnt rud unless at full lock and hit a pot hole. The 33s still look good and Im sure the mileage will be a little better.

34s

I went right in the middle - 34.1" 285-75-17s. I'm very pleased with the look. I felt 33s were too small, 35s too big.

Whe I first got my leveling kit I put 33s on it, looked too small to me. They didnt affect the mileage much from stock. I just put 35s on it about a month ago, it looks so much better. The in town mileage dropped a bit, but the highway mileage stayed about the same. I like the look of the 35s much more than the 33s.
Heres with the 33s

Heres the 35s

if you get a programmer you can gain a little of the fuel economy back when you recalibrate the speedo with it, and you will gain some more power out of it anyway. Go with the 35's. Bigger is better.

Thanks for the helpful pics. Do you know the height of the truck with the 35s? I'm concerned about parking in a garage due to low clearance.

Thanks, ChuckD
