Toyo MTs

I've had mine about a month; they ride great, were easy to balance, and most importantly come in the perfect size for 3rd gen trucks - 285-75-17s. This equates to roughly 34X11s. I was able to find them for 275 delivered at treaddepot.com.

Wow, I gotta say, i'm pretty surprised about how much the BFG is getting ragged on here, especially after the onslaught of awards it has won. I've never tried the Toyos but I will look into it after reading this thread. I did want to post a link showing that for a lil' more you can get the BFG in a load range E. BFGoodrich Tires | Mud-Terrain™ T/A® KM | Tire Sizes & Specs

Also, i've found tirerack.com to be really helpful in making tire decisions (obviously) here's their M/T comparison. (sorry, no Toyo listed in there ) Maybe you could check out the Firestone Destination M/T's, i've had mine for a while now and I love them, I usually forget to lock it into 4WD, i've never slipped a tire yet. Now , .... my tire guy is trying to get me to buy a set of Dick Cepek MT's , he claims they are quieter and last longer than the Toyo's . Any feedback ???????????????????
thats a good one..for a mud tire..NOTHING will last longer then the toyos if they are well maintained and its a known fact that the toyos are the quietest

If price difference isn't an issue for you, then I'd go with the Toyo's. I think they look better, have better manners on the highway, and they are a 10 ply tire with an E load rating. The BFG MT has a D load rating. BFG has a weaker side wall. JMO.

I love my Toyo's. They are very quiet, especially for a mud tire. Yea you will pay a bit more but im being told by my tire store that im getting a 50,000 mile warr with them. Cant beat that.

He said the 285/75 not the 285/70. The 285/75/17 MT is 34.1 and 285/75/17 AT is 33.8
