H2 wheels....but what center caps?

Ok guys, I just put my black H2 wheels on my truck, but am having a hard time figuring out what I want to do for center caps. I like the stockers from my factory gray aluminum wheels, and was thinking about painting them black and running them, but I'm not sure what to trim on them to fit. Or is there a nice looking plain cap from GM that would work? I know the GMC caps look nice but they are chrome, and won't take black paint very well. I'd like something that is black or gray that will be easy to paint black to match my wheels. Any suggestions and or pics?

Why not do like I did with my Raceline's. I didn't use caps at all. I painted the hubs black. And because mine are chrome, I bought some 2" chrome lug nuts. I don't have those pic's on CR, but you can see them at Truck Profile

Looks good JPR. I was going to go that route. But I still want caps. I like the stock caps, just not sure what and where to trim. Of course in black for my wheels.

When I get a set of H2s, im going to run 2nd gen caps, they look good and fit without modification....
(Or ill get some GM caps and fill/paint the center portion, to lose the logo)

I'd use the GM caps, but like I said, they're chrome. And won't paint very easily.

Does anybody have a write-up on trimming the 3rd gen caps to use with the H2 wheels?
I guess I'll just hafta wing it, and start trimmin! As soon as I get it done, I'll get some pics up!!

The GMC caps come in different finishes. I saw some gray ones on ebay that looked like they were painted. Remember, the caps are plastic so Im sure you could scuff them up to take any paint you want.

Hey guys, I got my stock caps trimmed up today!!! They're in my shop drying right now. Once I get them on I'll get pics to post. I love it. Black ram with black H2's with blackwall 315 BFG AT's. On my wheels, I left the outer lip and the face of the spokes aluminum. Gives it a nice little flashy look with the black. Can't wait to get pics up for ya!!!
