H2 wheels.....Machining questions

Hey guys! I'm going to be machining my H2 wheels this weekend and have a few questions.

What size should I bore the center hub hole out to? I recall 4.8" but wasn't sure without pulling the wheels off my truck.

Should I bore the hole clear through the wheel or should I just counterbore it from the backside?
And if just a counterbore, how deep from the backside?

If there is anything else you think I should know before I machine these, feel free to tell me. Thanks!

Cool. I just found the posts stating it needs to be 4.774". I'll just pull a wheel off tomorrow and verify everything. Thanks

I just did this with a router, it was too easy. just put the wheel down upside down, adjust the depth on the router so that the guide bearing (on your flush cut bit) is riding on the outer ring and you will do just fine. there are a few guides with pics on here somewhere. if you need to let me know, i took pics as i went. dont worry too much about the measurements, just follow this tip and you will be just fine and it is a very tight fit when you are done.

Make sure your guide bearing on the flush cut bit doesn't come off. Tighten it before you begin to cut and check it after every wheel. Don't ask me how I learned this.
