35's rubbing with mud flaps????
Anyone running a 2" leveling kit with 35's and stock (dodge style) mud flaps??? I've seen a few pictures that look like they are. I'm getting ready to go up to this set up, but it looks like the tires are going to rub on the flaps up front. Any experience or advice is appreciated. I really dont want to remove the flaps because the paint is rubbed up under them!

35s rubbed some on my mud flaps when they were on there but my wheels stuck out of the wheel wells about 2.5 inches. i dont think they rub with factory wheels.

I'm sticking with stock wheels for now, but just visualizing with a tape measure it looks as if the front will rub. If it's only a slight rub at certian degees throughout the turn radius..... I can live with that. Just don't want to rip the fender off with the lugs of the BFG KM's I plan on putting under it! OH, MY TRUCK IS A 03' 2500 Last edited by Grey Mule : 02-05-2008 at 08:51 PM. |

yeah, the front tires will catch on the lower control arms.... Kills the turning radius a little bit.

I have 315/70 17's (almost 35's I guess) on stock rims and no rubbing at all with a 2' leveling kit

this is how far mine stuck out before fender flares ![]() with just a spacer and not getting lower control arms like with a skyjacker kit the axel is a little farther back and this also causes a little more rubbing

thanks BigTy I guess I'll Give it a go with the 35's. I'm also torn between a 2" or 2 1/2" leveling kit.The 2 1/2" kit would give a little more room, but I Jacked my front end up today to compare the look of both lifts and realized the 2 1/2' lift will put the front slightly higher than the back. Why did you go 2 1/2"? Do you think the extra 1/2" is a big deal or will 2" be just as good?
