33 or 35
okay im gona put a 2" levelin kit on and cant decide between 33s or 35's i wana go with 35's but my head is tellin me stay wit 33's main reason is MPG i jus wana lower my rpms from 22-2300 to atleast 18-1900 so heres the Q should i go with 33s and say suck it up. or could i got 35s with out losing any major milage? and 2nd Q how well do they tow with 35s? i mean all i pull at the moment is a 16" trailer with a big honkin jeep and a gooseneck in the near future...thanks all :thumbsup

I think you should go with 35s if you are looking at dropping your rpms a noticable amount. I dropped from 2300 to 2000 at 70mph when I put on the 35s. I thought it would have been more. My estimate could be a little off since Im just guessing at my speedo being off by about 5mph with the new tires. As far as towing goes, just stick with an E rated tire and you'll be fine. Lots of guys on here tow heavy with 35s and even 37s.

I think with a 2" lift the 33's will look too small on the truck. I would go for a 34" or 35" tire. As already stated, stick with an "E" rated tire and you will be fine towing.

my 05 has 373's and its an auto - i went with the 315\70 17 on the stock rims with the 2" leveling kit and there is no rub and it looks very nice i think. i went with the BFG all terrains, and the only problem with towing like that is that i have heard that the death wobble is prone to these bigger tires while towing.
