The two rear wheels have the same backspacing. So if you take one of and flip the other it will look the same just with no inside wheel. Seen it done and it looks kinda weird. Could get a really wide single style wheel or get a super single big rig wheel and run wide tires.

YOU can do this,,I have "singled" one side many times to get home,,be sure the luggs are torqued. The look is a bit strange (dorkie) with the dually fenders!!!

Thanks bought this truck for biz failed, so im stuck with this duelly as my daily driver and so i figured 2 wheels would mean better gas millege and less wear on the truck. One tire shop told me if i flipped the tire and rim i would crack them would be unsafe just couldnt see this, some wide rim would really be the answer i guess ... Really you won't save yourself any mileage or wear on your truck if you only run one back tire on each side. The loss of mileage will be because of the bigger fenders and other things not because of the 4 rear tires, especially if they are aired up correctly. In my opinion just run with all the tires back there.

A good tire shop should be able to help if big singles are available, but buying then would cost you a lot more than running the duels. It would give you lots of extra wheels for tire rotation. Play safe

The tire guy u talked to was an idiot How would running and flipping 1 rear wheel be any different fron the front setup. IF it is turned in or out doesn't matter, the force is still being applied at the lugs and mating surface.

You are not going to save anything much by just running single wheels. It's more trouble than it's worth, because the dual wheels don't hurt the truck in any way and you aren't going to gain any fuel mileage either with singles compared to duals.
