Big Rig Wheel ?
I've got a different question here. My truck is a SRW & I really like the American Force 24.5" wheels for the duallies. I've looked at the Super Singles and don't really care for 'em. My question is if I were to get a set of the dually wheels could I just run the outer wheels without the inner wheels without any reprocussions? I don't haul very much or often either. I don't do any off road and like the high mileage benefits of truck tires. If that won't work I've also thought about running the front wheels at all corners too.

i would advise against this buddy. the DRW trucks have spacers in the front to make the rims in the back work in the front. if you ran those wheels on your SRW truck without the DRW hubs im not even sure they would mount up. they would definitely rub ALOT if you did manage to squeeze them on there. so in short, it aint gonna work

See I was thinking the same thing to just run the fronts wheels all around (but that would be spendy to buy two complete sets), of course also using the 8-10 lug adapters. I just wasn't sure if the rear wheels would be strong enough to run alone. I had forgotten about the spacer but wasn't sure if that would be needed if you just attached the outer wheel to the adapter and then to the truck. From what I've read and seen is that I would only need to do the 2" leveling in hte front for them to fit with no problems.

Ok, I'm just gonna wing it here, so bear with me. I don't know much about the 3rd gens, so this may not be accurate. I'm guessin you would need the "dually" wheel adapters for the fronts (might be able to use the adapters off of a regular dually truck), then you would need ur 8-10 lug adapters for ur AF wheels. On the back, (this is just a guess) you could/would need a spacer of some sort to bolt the 8-10 lug adapter to the hub and maybe another spacer to get the wheel set out far enough since you will be using front wheels on the back also. Might want to give them a call and see if this would be possible and what parts/spacers you would need.

The wheels are plenty strong enough to handle anything you can throw at them. It is possible to run just one wheel on the rear, but it's not going to look right at all. Plus you would have to use a good sized spacer just to get it out far enough which would be very redneck looking. Your best option would be just to get a dually truck.

But if you really wanted the dually wheels, you could use a set of adaptors for the front on the rear too and then use front wheels on all four corners. It's just going to look funny from the rear with just that one skinny tire on each side. I'm pretty sure they would be spaced out right with the use of front adaptors on all four corners with front wheels. There is no way you could use the outer wheels off the rear on all four corners. It wouldn't turn in the front without hitting the fender. I would say just get a set of 22s and a good set of mud tires and be done with it or get the floats. Hope I explained that ok and maybe helped.

I think we may be going about this the wrong way though, Front tires yes! But I dont think they are big rig tires, persay. I have a friend with cement truck tires on his truck. They are wider and would require less of a spacer, and will make the truck look great with that much tire under it, although I doubt you will be able to do it with just a leveling kit. Im planning on lifting my truck so I think it may work.....time to do some diggin, I will let you know what I find.
