Newbie Tire Question

All,
I have a 4X4 1992 Dodge Cummins (1st gen) that needs a new set of tires. Currently it has Kelly Safari MSR LT235/85R16's on it.

I was wondering wondering if someone could reccomend a good set of tires. I don't plan to drive the truck an awful lot.
Looking at the forum, it seems the Cooper STT's are a favorite, the price seems average:

We have a Les Schwab in town that I have not checked in with ...

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Why would you do something silly like buy a tire that Schwabies won't guaranty? Toyo AT's best tire ever made and has a 40,000 mile warranty!!!

If your looking for something similar to the toyos as far as tread the Cooper STTs are the closest you can get. Toyos wil be my next.

Coopers were a little cheaper than toyos and mine are holding up great!

what size

What size of tires can I put my older truck that will not stick outside of the body?
I hate that, my brother has tires that are wider then the truck, a muddy gravel road plasters the entire rig with dirt and mud.
Thoughts anyone?

285x70x17 work GREAT there just tad wider than 265 that come on stock. Not much different at all, they would work best for what your saying.
