2nd gen and wheels/lift questions

im about to pic up another 2nd gen. ive noticed people with 4.5 skyjacker lifts and 37s. i was curious about backspacing and offsets. pacticularly a 20x10 with 12mm offset and 5" backspacing. i want a tucked look but dont want any major rubbing. my 35's and leveling kit rubbed occasionally at full lock nothing bad. but it was due mostly to the 4.5" backspacing..if the 20 seems to close then ill be doing a 3rd gen 17 on a 37. anyway info is appreciate thanks. i have read the forum up and down to answer my curiousities. with not much luck

If ya don't mind me asking, how bad was the rub with the 35's. I'm trying to decide on some wheels myself. Thanks

Not much of a rub at all really. the black plastic inner fender toward the control arm had a small rash almost melted look but it was very small and i ran 35s for entire time i had the truck. that was with a 16x10 rim and 4.5 backspacing. never heard it rub nor felt it.

Cool thanks! Should be similar on a 3rd gen right?

I think on a 3rd gen it would be a little easier considering the amount of people running 37s on a leveling kit. which from what i understand you cant on a 2nd gen i think this is due to the shape of the fender. just my guess
