Snow Tires

We just had 20" of snow here in Maryland and my Nitto Terra's didnt do the job. What do you all suggest for a good tire in the snow and all around?

My Terras didn't do to bad I didn't think when I had it in 4wd . The way they cared for the roads in SOMD I don't think it would matter what tires you have it was like one sheet of ice by night time and then you throw in the idiots that have never driven in the snow before not fun at all. What part of MD are you in?

The best tire I've had on my truck were Goodyear Wrangler AT/S. Got almost 55,000 miles out of them too.

I definitely noticed the truck wandered the road a lot more than I had liked in 2wd and 4wd thinking of toyo MT for the next set

Tall and skinny, or pizza cutters
and put some weight in the box. start with around 300lbs.

Any wide tire regardless of MFG is going leave you

One Q why do some of you guys go Gaga over a tire that is made in china or some other country?.
Why not buy an American made tire?
Would you still get a cumins if it was MFG'd in china?

A friend of mine just put on a set of Goodyear Wranger MT/R 305s with the kevlar sidewalls. They look great on but not sure how they'll handle in the snow and slush. He's only had them on a week and we've not had enough white stuff in central Indiana to really test them.

Weight in the bed helps a lot. A quad works best because its an extra set of wheels, just in case. Aggressive snow tires are nice, but a set of snow chains, even on bald tires, will take you further and stop you quicker. Good luck.

I have Toyo Open Roads on my dually and together with with the weight of my 160L aux. fuel tank the truck is extremely good in slush, snow and ice.
