will they fit?

oookkk.. well i have been reading everything here and can not come up with a conclusion as to what will fit on my truck

i have a leveling kit. some say 35's will fit some say no

im looking to buy new tires and rims.. im leaning towards a 16 or 17x9

probably a mud tire in about the 12.5 area.

another problem is i hear its all in the offset and backspacing ... well if this is the case could somebody tell me what i need to clear 35"s or if no fit 33's

im confused pleasee help

35's will fit with minimal rubbing on a 9 inch wide rim, depending odn the tire though. some tires are a true 35 inches tall and a true 12.5 wide where as others, like the bfg's that i know of for sure, are really only a little over 34 inches tall and about 11" wide on the tread. if the offset is the same as the stock rims, than you will rub on the control arms, but if they stick out to far, than you will rub on the fenders. i cant tell you the exact offset to get but someone here will know. i have 315-70x17 on my truck which is the same as a 35, give or take, on a 17x10 rim with a standard offset and had to do a little fender mod to get rid of the rub, nothing major though.

i have 315/75/16 on 16x8 with a 2" leveling kit and they dont rub at all. the rims just have the standered backspacing that any aftermarket 16x8 rim comes with....

That is Correct that some 17 wont fit around the brakes ( had that problem )

I had to go to a 18in rim just to clear the brakes ( heilo maxx8 chrome with Bfg at 285/65/18 )

And thinking about selling the rims/tires to get black rims in 18 as well
