Tire size...vs...Speedo change

OK , as I look at putting bigger tires on my truck I keep wondering about the change that differant sizes will have on the speedometer, right know I have 265/70/17 (stock)would like to get up to 315's on stock wheels . any help would be great.

Thanks

you can play with these calculators:
Calulators from www.4Lo.com

265/70/17= 31.606299212598426" diameter
315/70/17= 34.36220472440945" diameter

so at 65mph corrected speed is 70.7 mph

im not sure how accurate this is, but its sounds about right.

Good site for calculating this:

DML Tire and Wheel Calculator

I printed out the chart and keep it with me in case I forget.
