what the heck is going with the taxes on tires. no one is making any money so what do they expect people to do. does anyone know where this is coming from. its making them unaffordable.

I don't know. The FET has been around for many years on tires.

The gubment just raised the tax on chinese imported tires, I believe that's what the OP has posted about. They did that in retaliation for alleged steel product dumping at below market prices. All domestic made tires will be immune from that increase.

my dad was talking about it and he had some tires put on the company rig and they cost like a third more than they did like a year ago. still seems dumb to me i've just bout had enough of everything being so expensive and i know i'm sure not seeing a pay increase to compensate for it
