Anyone try BF Goodrich Commercial TA Tires
I am looking for tires for my truck. I use it for hauling firewood and going offroad in the desert. It is mostly rocks down in the desert so I am not worried about snow or mud. I want long-wearing tires. I was looking at Goodyear DuraTrack tires here: Goodyear Tires | SUV and Truck Tires | Wrangler DuraTrac When I was calling around a tire salesman told me about BF Goodrich Commercial T/A Traction tires: BFGoodrich Tires | Commercial T/AŽ Traction | Tire Sizes & Specs Anyone tried either one of these tires? How many miles did you get out of them? How are they off-road? Any comments are appreciated. Bob

The Goodyear DuraTrac's strong suit is supposed to be snow. It is pinned for snow and has the "snowflake" on the sidewall. My primary consideration is traction in snow so I installed a set (without studs) on my truck a couple months ago. In another month or so I should find out how good they are in snow. My guess is there are probably better choices than the DuraTrac (like the Goodyear MTR with Kevlar, since you mentioned rocks) for your application. I don't know anything about the BFG Commercial TA, however.

Id go with some 285 Toyo M55's. Very very tough tire that can do just about anything. Comes in the proper weight rating also. Jason
