Will stock 2001 rims fit a 97?

Anyone know?

no they will not. the drums on the 97 are bigger and the offset of the 01 rims will not let them work. been there tried that. no workie.

Yeah, the bolt pattern will match up but I think No23 is right...the 2001's have disc brakes in the rear, 1997 has drum brakes. Not gonna fit over 'em.

I know a guy thats running 3rd gen rims on his 97, and 3rd gens have discs, so wouldn't that be that same thing as an 01?? He bolted them right up with no problems

aren't 3rd gens 17's.

And like no23 said the rear drums are bigger on the 97 so stock 01 wheels will not work

I do beleive they are, but an 01 and a 97 both have 16 inch rims, so its just the offset that throws them off??? Weve done alot of tire swappin on cummins and never come across that, learn somethin new every day

yeah the off sets are diff. the 01 wheels will his the drums before goin on all the way
