How many of yall....????
I had bought a new set of rims this year and still had my old stock rims along with a set of tires. I went ahead and put my stock rimz and those sapre set of tires back on my truck for the winter. Probly wont be dricing the diesel that much this winter becuase I have a little ford ranger 4x4 that will drive most of the time. Just thought thought if I took my eagle 058 off and cleaned them up and stored them away in the garage that they might stay cleaner and such.... Just wondering how many of you all out there that have aftermarket rims take them off and put a set of stock rims or spare rims back on the truck during the winter?? Thanks

its the aluminum rims that you gotta take off, the salt will make them oxidize, but if you have chrome plated steel rims you are better off, thats what stock wheels are, chrome plated steel and thats why they last in the winter

Ya I just took my chrome 20's off lastweek. Our Canadian winter roads rust and destroy aftermarket rims in no time. I hate the stock wheels and offset but I love my 20's and want them to look good. Plus the Mud Grapplers are unsafe on the icey roads. Here's my truck with the winters on the front and my bling in the rear.

You are not alone my friend. I have 2 sets myself. My stock 17's w/ 35" Toyo MT's (winter time plow truck), and my 18" Dale Jr. Cannons w/ 35" MT's (3 season fun truck). You oughta see my tire bills.
