Yes, I have run TOYO MTs in the past on other trucks and found them to vibrate way more than any tire I have ever used. Also never seen a set go over 40K on any truck. I know alot of people swear by them, but my experiences with them made me try something else.

Goodyear DuraTrac

If you end up going with full MT, consider siping them. The extra sipes add more biting edges to the tires tread blocks these help the tires grip on ice and packed snow.

Discount tire,

See if you can get this tire in a 285/75/17. If you had this I would buy it...

Thanks,

At this time, Goodyear does not build the DuraTrac in size 285/75-17. In this size however, Nitto builds their Terra Grappler A/T and Dura Grappler. The Terra Grappler would be the most comparable to the DuraTrac.

Discount Tire,

Does the Terra Grappler A/T or the Toyo Open Country A/T have the snowflake symbol?

I'm interested in an A/T in a 285/75/17 or 315/70/17 rated for severe snow/ice with the snowflake symbol.

Thanks

The Terra Grappler A/T and Open Country A/T do not carry the mountain snowflake symbol. A great option to look into that does is the Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac in size 315/70-17.

We currently can not mail order Toyo products. As you know, we carry Nitto which is Toyo's sister co. If you have a local Discount Tire location in your area, check in with them as they can special order in Toyo for you

Fyi

The snow flake bearing Maxx Traction is available in the 315 70 17 & is cheaper than the Goodyear.

Well I had my stretch mud grapplers out on our icey/snowy roads with our recent snow falling and they are dangerous to say the least. I picked up some dang near brand new Cooper S/Ts for my stock wheels for winter. If the snow stays much longe I will be swapping for the winter.

I ALWAYS swap back to stockers for the winter, they spray magniesum chloride on the roads here to melt ice and that crap eats copper and aluminum like I drink beer!
