Will these tires fit my dually without spacers?

'08 Mega dually. Stockers were General 235/80/r17. Looking to put 265/70r17 Nitto D\Tera Grapplers on. Will they fit without spacers? Or if not, where and how big a spacer is needed? Thanks,

Mav

Been going round and round about this for over a month with my truck. Decided on 285/75/r17 went with 1 1/2 inch spacer. You will have to put spacer on them from what i have seen. I would suggest going with 1 1/2 inches because the 1/2 spacer doesnt leave enough room if you decide to pull bigger loads.

Uh OH....two different stories!

I occasionally haul my 40ft toy hauler and a couple other smaller trailers and I don't want them to rub. But the 265/70s are quite a bit cheaper than 235/80s. I won't be going any bigger and don't want to have to get a speedo corrector.

I guess I would like a couple more folks to say yeah or neah.

Depends on which tire brand and tread you want to run.

I used to run 265/70R17 Toyo Open Country AT's on the '06 Dually I had and they had lots of room between them. I now have 285/75R17's on my '08 with a 1/4inch spacer and they just barely have a gap between them when at 80psi and hooked to the fifth wheel.

Looking at the Nitto Terra Grapplers or some Michelin's. From my research of here, it looks like there will be abou 1" between them at 80 psi. I'm thinking this will be fine.
