Personally, I think owning a foreign truck is like burning the American flag. That aside, those are nice tires, i've tried a bunch of different ones, but I always seem to go back to those, the wife's Durango needs some next month and again, i'm considering the BFG-AT.

little extreme dont ya think? i see your point but i also know that everything on my cummins aside from the motor will have to be replaced way before a toyota of the same year. which is why he buys toyota.

and on my door panel is says my truck was assembled in mexico...

And just think, the Germans (Daimler) use to own Chrysler.

The pickup truck is the most American thing I can think of. It's a sign of hard work getting done and heavy loads getting hauled. I know there are some gray areas with all companies now as far as where the HQ's are located and where things are assembled, but Ford, Chevy and Dodge are, in my mind, American companies (although since the government owns GM... well that's for another thread)and are the only options for me. I can understand buying a Sony dvd player, or a foreign refrigerator, but I wouldn't ever want to own a foreign truck. Another reason is that everything is crammed in those engines so tight that I can't begin to work on them, this also draws me away from my American independence because I wouldn't be able to work on my own truck

My truck has over 230k miles on it and it still performs and runs like brand new, everything still works on it and I use it like a truck, while a Jap truck might be more comfortable, I seriousl doubt it would hold up longer. I live in ranch country (not sissy-boy dude ranch country, real American cattle ranch country) and I have yet to see a foreign truck of any make/model on those ranches, because they know and I know that they wouldn't last a year doing real work.

Anyway, I was mostly joking before, but that is my opinion, i'm only 23, but i'm very "old school" I'm pretty much a younger Hank Hill living in Wyoming. Just my .02

P.S. Mine was assembled in St. Louis, I guess I got lucky lol

Love my BFG's. I was pretty limited in tires in my size, but I went with the BFG's and I'm glad I did.

A lot of people think that you can't get them in an "E" load rating, but it is available in some sizes But sometimes it means losing the white letters

these ones are actually D load range, the E2 means there is more full tread depth siping in the tire which is why its better for the lighter trucks, for our trucks the better way to go is with the old school solid tread blocks which are better for towing.

and i recently heard they actually stopped making the 265 75 16 in a D load range so i think you can only get E
