M/T is loud, sucks in the winter, doesn't wear very good, but is good off road.

A/T Is quiet, good in the winter, and mediocre off road, with better wear characteristics.

I got 40,000 out of a set of Firestone Destination MT's, so in my opinion they are probably the best wearing MT's that i've ran. Oh and i push snow and they were great for that too. I have BFG AT's now and they dont have 25,000 on them and they are damn near shot. Im going back with the Firstone's.

My buddy's MT's started chipping and falling apart in the back...they do good in the mud though.

For what its worth, I was looking into the a/t as well and while calling around found a Load E version in 315/70/17. I called it bs but my buddy works for bridgestone and confirmed this is a new product being released October 1.

Alot of tire companies seem to be weeding out their larger 8 ply tires and going making them 10 plies, I know it makes me happy, stronger tires to go under my truck.

I've got 25k on mine, they're wearing excellent for a M/T, prob, 35% tread left. Great in everything, I have yet to slip one in 4wd in snow or anything else. If you're going to get a M/T, get this one!
