285s on a dually
What kinda milage and wear do you guys runin 285s or 315s get outa your tires? I know that the tires arent made for a 6" wheel. I am wanting to buy some 285s cuz i like the looks alot better, but I cant afford to buy tires every year. I know they will wear out faster than the proper size, but would like to know how long they have lasted for you guys. Thanks

I never had 285s under a diesel or 1 ton truck. i cant help u there. I did have a set of hankook mud tires that i had on my 99 half ton that lasted 1.5 years and i sold that truck with 50% tread on them. I have a friend with and international truck with 305s cooper mud tires and they lasted him a least 2.5 years and still has alot of tread on them.

Ya my concern is that the dually wheels are to narrow for optimum tire wear (285s) I need to get tires next week and would love the 285 if I can get 2yrs outa them. Im just not sure that i can. I know there are lots of guys runin this set up......what kinda wear do you guys get?

I put 30k this past yr and a half. Which isnt that much. But I want to get at least 2 yrs outa whatever i buy. I had to take out a loan to buy the damn things. See I want the 285 cuz they look better, but have to get 2yrs out of them to make it worth buying them
