I cant find what im looking for...

ok Ive been searching the forum all day for an answer but i cant seem to find what im looking for. I want to know if running a 265/70/17 toyo m/t on my dually will require spacers on the rear axle. If so what size spacer should I get? I also would like to know what size spacer I would need for a 285/75/17? thanks for all the help

If you want to put a load in it you will need to space it. I dont know much about what sizes the spacers come in but i would think and inch or inch for the 265 and maybe half more for the 285 would get the job done

I don't think you need spacers until you get into the 285/70 size tires. 265/70s are almost the same exact size as your stock tires.....

An average section width of 9.2 inches for stock vs 10.7 for a 265/70R17. I'd say you need spacers for sure! An inch should do it for the 265 size as Joel said. The other thing to consider is the M/Ts have a heck of a side bitter on them that is wider than the average section width in any given size of tire. Go for it!!
