Question I can't decide between Toyo MT or AT in 285/75R17

I can't decide between the MT or AT for my stock replacement tires. The truck is my daily driving vehicle (all highway driving) but 12 times per year (long weekend trips) I will have a slip in truck camper on it that when fully loaded weighs 3700 lbs. I do off-road the camper to get away from the crowds. The things that concern me are: 1. Tire wear 2. Weight carry capacity. 3. Ability to fit spare tire under the truck (going to use the AT for this one for sure).
Does anyone have any experience with both the tires? Any help would be nice. Thanks.

Does anyone have experience with either one of the tires I am looking at? Which one do you think will last longer?

I have the 285 75 17 AT don't like them. Seem to be wearing fast only have 3000k on them, don't of road for crap. Brother has the MT in 37 13.50 20 he drives like an old lady but they are holding up well, they are gettin some sun cracks. The truck sits outside all the time summer time temp hits 100 regularly he has had the tires 2yrs though I guess some cracks can be expected. I had good luck with my pro comp xtreme terrains. Good luck.

I have the 285/75 17 Toy AT's 9k on them quiet, ride nice, no problem with off road traction. They hold 3970 pounds at 80PSI?. If I get 40 k out of them I'll be happy No signs of excessive wear with 9k. They helped my mileage (I recalc'd the speedo). At this point I'd buy them again. I did put a new one underneath, it fit no problem in the stock location. I put about 500 miles on them over maintained 60 mph gravel roads to crawling over a rock strewn road going into a lake. (ended up being dry what a waste of time)

I wasn't in the sandy conditions like you get around Hysteria I was on hard baked Nv back roads.

I vote go with the MT's. they look cooler, will do better off road, they are quiet for an MT, and they cant wear any faster than the AT's. I know two guys with the AT's and they will be getting something different next time, they wear fast.

I'll never buy Toyo again. I'll be lucky to get 30K out of them. But some have good luck with them.

Thanks for the info guys, it sounds like the AT wear too fast and if you rotate the MT often, they should last.

The reason I went with the AT's over MT's was the 40K mileage warranty on this tire. As long as I rotate them, and maintain them,if they only last 10K miles,I won't have to cough up another $1500 for tires for my dually.

I bet the warranty is pro-rated. But even so its better than no warranty.

Does anyone have any experience with the MT in the snow?

I'm on my second set of AT's and they wear out real quick, I've been thinking about the MT, but am afraid that they won't handle that great in the snow.
