Exclamation Hummer H2 Wheel Cracking issues

So I'm looking to put H2 wheels with 315/70/17's on my 03 but read on here that the centers can crack. Anybody had this problem?? I see lots of trucks on here with these wheels. Also are the rated high enough to tow with???

PS-I know that I need to open the centers up a bit....

not sure about the towing but dont see why not... i have some on my offroad rig and they see some abuse, i had to open the centers up a bit to fit the hubs and have not had any issues with them

i havent read that ever happening? Can you find the thread? I wouldnt see why the h2 wheels would be weaker than the 2500 aluminum dodge wheels? the h2 are actually bigger

I would be a little concerned with running the h2 wheel with the 37" toyo if you drive it hard.I have seen them break on the h2's with the lil BFG 315's

Na. Never seen, OR, heard of this happening. Mine have been on for almost 2 years, and no problems. I tow light (3000-8000lbs) ALL of the time, and heavy (15000-28000lbs) some, and never had an issue. The H2 wheels are very strong. IF, anybody had issues with them cracking, if probably was a result of either opening the centers up too much, or was a result of a accident or curbed too hard. This is just MY opinion.

CRF........send me a bigger version of that avatar!! PM me if you want my email!

sometimes wheels just crack and break, I just got a deal on a set and got them bolted on the truck. No rubbing at all with the 315 BFG's!

Maybe they cracked if they weren't opened up enough and didn't seat correctly over the rear hubs? My front ones had a little room to spare but the rears were pretty tight, had to double check that they were seated correctly.
