It happens. So do tire blow outs and flats. You just dont hear it too often with rims as you do with tires...i have mine and love them. Make the truck look real nice..perfect offset. I have 315's but threw on a leveling kit anyway

the H2 wheels are cast vs. the 3rd gen dodge wheels being forged.

Bob has driven and been around more offroad dodges than most and i'm sure he's seen some good abuse in his years. I'm sure he's referring to the guys that jump, hit the whoops, etc. That being said a lot of people that beat their trucks up offroad have had good results with H2 wheels. As a DD/tow rig you shouldnt have any problems. If you are really worried about strength check out the Walker Evans wheels. they are cast but have a 3800+lb rating and are used by many teams in SCORE, BITD, MDR, etc.

I believe the 3800# rating for the WE wheels is for their beadlocks. The DOT ones are about 1000# less according to guy who purchased some.

Then that sux. Even cheap KMCs have a 3200lb rating.

According to WE their beadlocks have a 3800lb rating and their street locks are "From the same mold as its predecessor the Walker Evans Racing bead lock wheel, our Street wheel exceeds all industries standards of wheel load ratings. Its one of the strongest Wheels on the market! Walker wouldn't have it any other way."

Did he have the 8 lug wheels? If that's true I'm glad I didnt drop the $$$ for the streetlocks.

Yes he has a CTD. Centerline forged 17 x 8.5's on their overstock list are only rated to 3200#.

Well the Walker Evans are out of my price range.... Was just gonna go with Cragar Soft 8 black rims till I saw the H2 wheels thought they looked better.

Let me tell you this....... If Bob 4x4 said it, you can be sure it is accurate. I have never seen him to be wrong.
