Im pretty sure the 4" lift won't be enough. Whatever size lift the guys are using to clear 40"s on a single wheel, that's the size you will need too. It's going to have to be a pretty big lift just to clear though.

4.5 inch lift clears 37's all day, check out a 6" lift to fit your 40's.

Im just using a 2" leveling kit, but it's super close. I haven't had them to rub though. The 10r22.5s will rub in the front when turning for sure. That's why you don't see many people running that big of a tire size. The offset on the Alcoas just won't be enough to keep them from rubbing even if you have plenty of lift to clear them. The 10rs are wider than a 70 series tire which will cause a clearence problem with the rear leaf springs on the inner wheels on the rear. This also will add to the problem in the front. Most 70 series tires are as wide as you can run, without major suspension mods, spacers, custom adaptors, or something to get the wheels out.

I will say some 10rs may fit depending on the tire company, but it's something you will have to definitly check first before buying or it could be a bad deal. I have seen 9rs on a Dodge before.

No problem. The 255/70 is really the best size for these trucks and especially for a daily driver. It's going to put the truck up around 3" higher anyway. The larger sizes in the commercial tires are also heavier and you will tell the difference even with the 255/70s. It's just much easier to use this size.
