tpms on 315/70/17's

Is there anyway to adjust the tpms? i just put 315/70/17 bfg at's on my stock wheels and cant get the light to go off. what can i do?? the tires are rated to 50psi max.

I have the same issue going on. I have just been living with the light on the dash. Kinda used to it now. LOL

The dealer CAN adjust the values for the TPMS, but they generaly won't. There's a liability issue with mucking around with / defeating safety related items on a vehicle.

It's done with the StarScan tool, and don't be surprised if they expect you to pay for the service. It should take them 10 minutes, but they often charge for a full hour. I didn't get mine done yet -- I bought a slightly higher rated tire that can handle 65 psi, so I can keep the pressure just above the TPMS warning threshold.

and good luck with it, I can't get my local dealer to do it. Hopefully one of the tuners with allow us to do this soon.
