there's a post somewhere on here that Nitto is comming out with a new tire...looks like a mud tire but not as aggressive as the mud graps but more aggressive than the terra graps... might want to look at them. the post has a picture so you could take a look. still looks pretty good

I want to know how long I can expect a set of M16's to last under my heavy truck?
Are they good tires in general?

The SSM-16's are a good tire,...I've been hearing people getting 40,000 miles out of them,...some getting more...some getting less.

i had the nittos a cpl sets ago was a great tire for me got good mileage out of it i might be one of the few i originaly figured between 40-45k but lookin at teh odometer it only clocks 8/10ths of a mile per mile with the 35" tire...my bud did soem math and i got 51,600 before the sidewall let go woohoo loud tire but balanced good and great off road traction...whenit comes to snow(on the road) or some mud careful when turning the wayt the tread is you will push straight if gointo fast in a real hard corner other than that i loved em. never had any interco stuff but herd it wears fast youd probly eventually hear that about every tire depending on who ya ask everyone drives differently. hope that helps good luck with your choice if you havent made it yet....i recently got the pro comp xt/mt put on figured id give em a try

Yeah if you ask around enough you will hear that every tire sucks and wears fast. It seems like the majority of people that run Grapplers say they are good and people that don't have any experience say they are bad.

My buddy has a set of 35's,...rotates them religously ,...he's got around 53,000 out of them,...but they are DONE...LOL

One of the main things I don't like about Mud Grapplers,...they are so damn loud,...and they aren't as good as Iroks offroad.

Mud grapplers will last a little longer,....but I'd rather have better traction offroad, and quieter on-road,.....that is why I have Iroks.
