DONT DO IT! you will have vibrations problems and the fear of loose wheels!! Sell the wheels and get the correct bolt pattern. You'll have nothing but problems and most tires shops won't touch a well that has been drilled due to liability issues

do not do that !! it works in theory, but the very idea of loose wheels on the studs should scare you. such a not good plan amigo.

re balancing has nothing to do with the fact that there isnt a tight mounting surface from the rim to lugs.

PM NCummins on here, he works at a tire shop (as do a lot of guys on here) get his opinion. tell him i told you to ask him. see what he says...

I work at a tires plus, and we wouldn't touch a wheel like that, we would tell you to put them on yourself lol

it is quite unsafe, we won't even touch wheels that have had completely new holes drilled, and what you would have to do is oval out the ford pattern holes

I don't even like putting on those cragars that have oval holes and use washers to hold the wheel on lol

If you must use those wheels and tires then get some wheel spacers/adapters(our bolt pattern to fords pattern). They will be about 1.5"s thicks so they will stick the wheels out farther but it will be safer then drilling them out. Your best best and safest bet is still to sell them and get the correct wheels.

just search wheel adapters on ebay or yahoo and youll find plenty that will work. Wheel adapters are safe. Our bolt pattern is 8X6.5
BTW I thought 99 fords were the same as ours??

nope, 99 is the first year of the superduty, and thats the year they switched, all of the old body styles will fit.

i agree with the wheel adapters being a good alternative to selling.
