3rd gen stockers help!

Ok this may be a stupid question, but on duallys, you can take off the chrome plate and the rims will be black. Can you do this with regular 3rd gen wheels? Thanks

I know that the dullie wheels are black under the chrome wheel covers. I took mine off and just left on the chrome center cover.

are you referring to regualr third gen dually wheels? or single wheels, the singles a re a polished aluminum and chrome finish, no covers, the dually wheels, yes you can take the simulator covers off and they will be black or brown depending on dirt....

the single rear wheel in chrome are only chrome clad, the wheel it self is not chrome, its got some kind of thin metal or plasic cover

yeah, it's "plasti-chrome", you can literally pull the friggin cover off it it's hot enough outside, and then get it chrome plated or powder coated black...

i got my third gen stockers painted black for now, need to get the $$'s and time to get em 'coated...
