Chrome Clad or Alloy

Does anyone know which wheel is stronger? Plan on runnin 35's on the stock wheels that I plan on painting or powdercoating black. If the chrome clad's are steel underneath that would make them stronger than the alloys, right?
Any ideas?
Thanks

IMO the steel would be stronger but heavier, you can bend steel back in place, aluminum will crack.
