They don't last very long and have a lot of road noise.

The Mud Grappler is awesome off road but doesn't have the best on road manors. If you are looking for a serious off road tire the Mud Grappler would be a great choice. What key features are you looking for out of your tires? Will you be sticking with 285/75-16's?

yes ide like to stay close to a 33 inch tire since ive only got 3.55's I need good snow/slush traction since i live in Wyoming, ide like to have good aggressive tread for off road since i do allot of hunting and fishing. I also have to drive 4000 miles round trip 3 times a year to school. Ide like to have a 30-40,000 mile tire but thats kindof unrealistic if im looking for an offroad tire.

Oh and i do haul trailers and loads so a D or E load rating is a must. I do like to do the occasionall off-road playing and mudding as well. Not to much in the rocks though. those tear up tires and suspension

Loud...God awful loud,.....horrible..

35" mud grapplers are 10 x louder than my 41" Iroks........

Iroks are quieter, and better in the mud......MTZ are alright too.

Based on what you are looking for I would recommend you look into the new Wrangler DuraTrac. This tire has an aggressive tread pattern for off road use and also carrys the Canadian snow flake symbol for sever winter conditions. The 285/75-16 size is also E rated with a 126 load index. Here's a link with more details:

Hey Cowboy, I run 305 terra grapplers on stock wheels and love them. Had a superduty with 50k on a set and now 25k on the Dodge. I spend alot of time on dirt roads and the Grapplers ride great. The key to these tires is to keep them rotated every 3000 miles. I also pull a 9000 lb toy hauler so the E rated tire is a must. Good luck and good huntin.

All i can say is holy ! if you never plan on hitting pavemnet they are the awesome, but they are way too soft and loud for highway driving. I'm running extreme all terrains now and i think they're great on or off road.
