Will they stick out? 18x9 5"bs 305/60/18

I am thinking of going with 18x9's with 5"bs with 305/60/18's on my stock 2005 2500. I think they will fit just fine with out a leveling kit but curious if they are going to stick out a lot? What is the backspacing on the stock rims? All input appreciated...thanks!

They'll stick way out. My buddy's got some 18 x 9 w/5" bs and 35" MT's. He hates them. The paint job eats it everywhere he goes.

stick out

yes they will....

I have 325 60 18s on 18 x 8.5" with 5" BS & even the Power Wagon flares do not keep the slop off the sides. I am just NOT fond of the "stick out" look....but to each their own....not to mention the fact that the 325s should NEVER have been mounted on an 8.5" rim.

Previous owner put these tires & the flares on...I will be replacing the tires in the fall as they will not last thru this winter & I am searching for 18" tires that are 33" - 34" tall & 305 wide or LESS to keep them tucked....not much out there for 18s less than 305 wide though...shucks

so far I am considering 305 65 18 BFG ATs & Goodyear Duratrack 295 65 18s for a 33-34" tall tire otherwise I have to move up to 35s & there is a variety of 305 70s & 285 75s that will work.

The "65" series sidewalls are going to handle well on the highway, but will deliver a stiff ride on and offroad even with your fine Carli suspension.

they can not be any worse than the 60 series Toyo ATs that are on it now...

I wish tire companies would make an AT that is 34" tall for an 18" wheel that is 285-295 wide...that is what I want
