I am getting some H2 rims tomorrow and want them to be black but I am cheap and was wondering if anyone has spray painted there rims and how they came out. Also what paint and prep stuff do I need to do it right?

I cleaned mine up with soap and water, scuffed them with a scotch brite pad, 1 coat of primer, and 2 coats of black. Got it all at advanced auto for around $17 bucks. im pretty happy with the way they turned out. ![]()

My buddy did some wheels with Rustoleum Hammer finish for his off-road wheels. They look good but they have a texture to them. I'm going to do my H2's with self-etching primer and wheel paint, then clear.
