toyo's or nitto's

Hey guys...decided to put my stock wheels on with some big meat! im just doing 35x12.50x17 but i cant decide the Nitto mud grapplers or the toyo open country mt's which i have now. I need some input. Nittos would be all around cheaper to put on and all but dont know if they would last as long...

Open Country M/T's. They are a quieter riding tire and will last longer than the Nitto's.

Nitto's Muds are loud as heck and I've yet to hear someone say they last near as long as Toyo MT's.

Go with the Toyo. Friend of mine had the Nittos .They were loud & horrible riding on the road compared to Toyos.

don't kill the messenger.i'm just quoting what i once heard at a local tire dealrship about nitto's.i heard thru eavesdropping, that nitto is owned by toyo.which can be confirmed by doing an internet search.and, that nitto's are a second tier tire in the toyo family.again, this isn't my opinion only what i heard in conversation from a tire salesman.who probably wanted to sell the more expensive toyo's.

According to one of my financial advisors that works on their retirement plan Toyo Holding Company is the parent company to both Toyo USA and Nitto USA.

I dont know if Toyo is "better" than Nitto in any way.

I've heard the same thing. Something along the lines of Toyo's being the "Firsts" or higher quality casings and Nitto's the "Seconds".

I will say that the Toyo MTs are tough as nails, quiet for a mud terrain and get great mileage. only downside is they are heavy and dont do well in really soft sand. All other offroad conditions they

Nitto mud terrains are loud h*ll and wear really fast kind ugly too IMO... Toyo's are nice. I had really good luck with procomp Xterrains they are really good in sand, and you can get 40k miles out of them no problem.

one of the first people i have heard say that abotu those on a full size...i usually stay away from a directinal tire on the road just cause once they start wearing bad, you're doomed....if you must have a mudder, get the toyo...nittos are nice if you like sounding like a b-17 and and having your brains shaking like aligator giving birth from the hum...they are supprisingly smooth though...but the toyos will last prob. twice the time...spend the money on them now and save later
