37'' issues

truck is a 2006 with 2'' revtec leveling kit.. currently running 355/70/17 toyo at's on h2's.. they rub the back of the fender pretty often, toyo claims they are 37-14-17.. my question if i get some 37-12.5-17'' tires like goodyears mtr's, yok's at's or mt's, something narrower than my toyo's, will they rub still you think??

that has got to rub alot, I have a 08 with the revtek level kit and I run 34" tires and I rub, I can't even imagine running 37" with out a lift.

There was a post about a guy running 37's on H2's with no lift....so I assume if you went to a narrower 37" tire, you would be okay. As always, backspacing is the key, and the H2 rims are your best shot at getting 37's to fit properly.

I would assume your rims are a 4.5" backspace, Blackdodge2008?

The way most of us are getting away with running 37'' tires on small lifts are bc of the Carli extended control arms. They push the tire away from the cab so it doesnt rub but they are also offest to the inside so the tire doesnt rub on the upper arm.

I also run the stock wheels to fit 37'' tires because of the following specs. (thanks mattingly)

The OEM forged and polished aluminum wheels have the following dimensions:
Size: 17"x8"
Offset: 43.18mm (1.700") positive
Backspace: 6.25"

Hummer H2 wheels have the following dimensions:
Size: 17"x8.5"
Offset: 18mm (0.709") positive
Backspace: 5.563"

The wider the wheel and the less BS the greater chance you will rub on the cab. The more BS the greater chance you will rub on the control arms at full lock.

The Yokos are smaller and narrower and lighter than most 37'' so they should fit easier.

how much did u pay for the 355/70/17? do you remember. right now i am 8'6" wide from outside tire to outside tire, i plan on getting a 8.5" lift kit and i want to hit 9' wide (i like a big rear end) and 14" wide tires should easily put me there.
