H2 Questions

Ok I am about to buy a set of H2 rims with 315/70/17" BFG A/T's and was wondering how much I would be looking at to get them bored to the 4.778" (i believe that is what it is) I would calll local shops but I plan on buying tomorrow and there not open

I had mine done for $20 a wheel. I thought it was kinda high but they are the only machine shop around and I didnt want to bother doing them myself with my router.

i borded mine out with a die grinder for FREE! the wheel is centered on the lug nuts, so it dosnt matter if the whole is a little off.

Ok I know I read quite a few post that they were unsure if the were hub centered or centered by the lugs.

well its driven and held on by the lugs. so i dont see anything inside of the lugs making much difference?

no problem bro,,, one thing to remember DO NOT use a grindin wheel,,,,sanding disc only,, if ya have a grinder buy a flapper sandin wheel ,,it will flex,,not hard like a grinder wheel,,,,grinding wheel =FUBAR!!!

Well I bought a couple carbide tipped grinding bits from my local tractor supply and stole an old Milwaukee Drill from work that spun at a really high RPM (my 18v cordless was going through batterys ever 20 minutes). It took me about 25 minutes per wheel but it wasnt bad and they look like they were machined. Just took it out for a drive and rides smoother than my 265 toyo open country at's. for $625 including everything I think it was an awesome deal oh the tires still have nipples on them lol

Here is a crappy camera phone pic
