Tire help...
I have a 2006 dually and want to put 285/70R/17 BFG A/T's on. I was wondering what your thoughts are. A friend of mine has them now and they leave about 1 inch clearance between the rear tires. I want that big tire look for my truck, also going to put on the new Ultra "Incinerator" wheels that are really cool. Thanks in advance...

The BFG's look great, but I have been spending some time looking at tires and one of the better performers were the Bridgestone Revo's. They come in that size, too. I am going to get those when my factory baloney skins michelins are done.

The size sounds great, but I am not a fan of the OLD technology of the BFG, plus everyone and their dog has them....There are much better tires on the market.

Actually the BFG is the lastest Bound at Zero technology, just because they have chosen to stay with a proven tread pattern doesn't mean the carcas has not undergone updates, and they do come in LR E,or a LR D, on stock wheels they will touch on the duals, so stear clear, and I wouldn't use spacers on a golf cart, very bad! Revo's are a good tire but on road wet handling is moderate at best. If your new wheels give you clearance for the 285's go for it
