Newbie Tire Help
New to the Forum and need help with new tires for my 2008 Ram 2500 6.7 4 door longbed. Question - what is largest tire I can fit without a lift kit or leveling spacers on a stock 17" rim? If I were to do the 2" level kit, how big can I go? 95% driving done on highway Thanks for the help |

33's without a leveling kit and 33's with a front leveling kit and of course you need to watch the offset of the wheel you get. I have a 2009 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel with a 2.5" leveling kit and went with 35 12.50 tires and a wheel with a -12 offset and the tire hits the back part of the fender on sharp turns. So those wheels came off quick. |

I have no lift at all, with 17" H2's and 305/70 Maxxis Bighorn (34x12.2) and I am nowhere close to rubbing anywhere. Hope this helps.

315/70/17 or 35x12.50x17 with minimal rubbing. 285/75/17 or 305/70/17 with no rubbing and these tires fill the fender up perfectly without looking to big.

285's without a lift, 315's with a lift but they could rub the control arms. I just put 35's on my H2's and they JUST clear the fenders and no where near rubbing the control arms.

The only bad thing about 305's is most of them are D load(8 ply) and you really need E load(10 ply) for these heavy trucks.

Toyo and/or Nitto makes 305 E rated.
