HELP how wide tall is a 285/50/20???

285/50/20. How tall is this tire and it should be 11.5 inches wide right? I'm guessing its a 33?

285=285mm=11.2 inches wide
50=50% of 285=5.6 inches of sidewall
So 20+5.6x2=31.2 inches tall

Specs for the particular tire you're thinking of should be at that manufacturer's website.

manufacturer specs are the way to go. You can do the math, but the numbers don't always add up to the true diameter
