Toyo MT 10PLY or Nokian MT 8 Ply

The toyo's run about 303.00 a tire at a local dealer, the Nokian run about 245.00 on line, need some opinions Pleas

Thats a pretty decent price for the toyo's, if your spending $1000 you might as well speng $1200 and get the best.

Cheaper than the Toyo's, 10 ply (E), great tire.

Another suggestion would be the Firestone Destination MT's...great reviews on Tire Rack and good price, $235.00. They are LT315/70/17 but are load range D not E's.

how do you find the wear on the firestones? i am thinking of getting the destinatin AT's in an E rating, dealer screwed up and have a set of D's now, but I am thinking of waiting another week to get the AT in an E 10 ply LT315/70/R17.

I agree. You'd have to pay me to run another set of Toyo MT's they are absolute garbage. They are louder then most others just as aggressive, and couldn't get traction on ice or snow to save their life. Not to mention the insane price.

Cooper discovery SST or Nitto mud grapplers are far superior tires

I guess its going to depend on what type of terrain you're going to see. The Toyo MTs are one of the best MTs out there in many opinions.

They have a super thick sidewall to resist punctures, they offer great traction in dirt, mud and rocks. They are one of the longer lasting/higher mileage mud tires and in comparison to BFG MTs and multiple sets of differnt Interco tires Ive run they are way more quiet. They might suck in the snow and Ice but in the deserts of Southern California I never saw any. I will say they are not the best in sand but most mudders dont do well there since they just dig. They are also HEAVY because of the thick sidewalls and 10plys. I know tons of guys that run them and love them I just spend too much time in the sand and am better off with an AT. They are a darn good looking tire though.

And Toyos are the higher end brand of Nitto, they are both owned by the same parent company and Nitto even adoped a lot of the technology from the Toyo MTs in their new Trail Grappler MTs.
