Understandable and unfortunately there is no exact answer. One thing people may not know is that every major brand tire is covered by a manufacturer's warranty for workmanship and material defect. This warranty is void if the tire is mounted on a wheel outside the tire manufacturer’s recommendations. This may not be important to some but I know it is to me.

If anyone is on the fence about getting these tires, DO IT! I bought mine about a year ago. I have 27K or so on them right now and I fully expect to get 45K+ out of them. I also rotate them at every 5-6000 miles. Very quiet and smooth riding tire for a very fair price in my opinion. Here is a pic I took last week to give you an idea of how much life is remaining.

Excellent update! Thank you for sharing. Tires can go a long way when taken care of properly and mounted on the correct size wheels. Give us another update in 8-13K I want to see how they are holding up around the 35-40,000 mile mark.

Anyone have the 255/80/17's yet? I have only seen DRW pics, and would like to see some SRW pics.

These tires are cheaper, lighter, and more aggressive than what I have now.. I should be getting a set in early Dec. BFG said they are in full production and the local warehouse has a bunch.

I called a local tire shop just the other day, and they said they'd have to order the tires directly from BFG and I'd have to pay freight shipping. I haven't called the local Discount Tire yet to see what they say, but they are 4 dollars cheaper per tire. Not a big difference, but every little bit counts. If Discount Tire has to order the tires in do the customers have to pay for the shipping? I was kind of hoping to be able to get some put on next weekend.

If you local Discount Tire has to order them in and can get them from their factory designated distribution center, you do not have to pay any freight charges. If they have to go outside of their designated distribution center, shipping charges may apply. Contact your local store for more detailed information

We appreciate the opportunity at your business.

I wished all tire Manufacturers would make this size. I have still not seen a set in person though. No matter, they will look awesome. I am curious is to how they look compared to the 285
