im not sure what the guy is gonna add to the lift, he told me it would be easy and inexpensive to add 3 to 4 more inches so we'll see i guess. ill let u know exactly what he does....ppl say now that my tires look to small so im thinkin by addin 4 more inches and only addin an inch and a half inside the wheel well will make the tires look even smaller on such a tall truck. when i get it down ill post some pictures. i guess it would be easy to lower it back down to the oringinal 8" lift if after i get it done and it doesnt look right. although i think its gonna look mean! i hope i dont loose much power by addin the 40's

Black Beauty - what lift are you currently running? I am getting ready to order a set of 37s this weekend to put on my XD wheels. I am seriously debating whether or not I want to run a 6 or 8 inch lift. Just worried that I will have serious vibration problems and all kinds of stuff with an 8" kit. Been looking into stuff from Top Gun Customz and thought about their 8" short arm kit. Thanks man.

if you already have 8" springs, the guy doing the lift is probly just gonna add a 4" spacer on top of your coil...I've done it several times and it works fine An yes 40"s will clear an look good, you can actually clear a 44"-46" tire with 12" of lift with the right tire wheel combo

ontheedge - I have the top gunz custom 8" long arm suspension lift. i would for sure go with the 8" lift if i was u. I have very little vibration, but thats from my bald right front tire and is nitto mud grappler and toyo mt the only ones that make a 40-15.50/22 ? anyone know. i would like to stay with my kumho's but dont think they make that size

Black Beauty - thanks for the input man. I had been leaning towards the short arm kit, but was worried about the ride quality. I had also been geared towards the Toyo MTs but saw and thought about the Kuhmo as well. Saw a Ford with the 37s on 22s at the tire place today. They looked sweet tread wise. What kind of mileage are you going to get out of them. Salesman said 35-40k from 37x13.50 Toyos. Not sure about that. As far as I know I think that Toyo and Nitto are the only ones rocking the 40s though.
