Spare tire after going bigger?

Hello all, my ? is, after going to a bigger size tire(say a 285/75/17) will getting the bigger tire on the spare under the truck be an issue? I too will be in the market for tires in the not to distant future. I have thought about going even bigger than the 285's but i dont want to hurt my towing ability. THX Gus

285's No prob. I had 295 in stock location on my 06.
Some 315's and 35's will even fit...dpeneds on exhaust though.
