running d rated tire need help!!!

ended up getting sent a set of 285/75-16d goodyear mtr
noticed that they are 1500kg and my current tires are 1550kg. would i be ok running these or should i try to trade them at a goodyear store?

The Diesel tires are supposed to be rated to E Class. Not D. Not sure what the KG rating is. . . But D's will be troublesome and won't last like the E's do.

How did you happen to get sent those? Did you buy them wrong? Or did they ship the wrong ones?

sent him my choices and sizes and guess he couldnt find a 285 in an e. had all the ones listed

You will be fine with the D as long as you don't overload them.

but what psi should i run them at? i run my currents at 60 and i think those are the mtr's max

Well, 50kg's is a diff of what, 100lbs? They basically are rated to hold the same amount of weight. Check the sidewall, see what the max pressure is per tire, and then put it near there in the front and a little lower in the back.

yea that was per tire. so 500lbs less total, but more than the truck still

My buddy has run Ds for a year and a half. Walmart specials

Still in good shape even with 500hp and a few burnouts.

I ran D-rated BFG AT KOs for 58,000 miles including heavy towing and hauling. I ran the max PSI on the sidewall (65psi) and rotated every 7500. No problems.

there is only 50kg difference, dont worry. just keep within the load rating
