Painted SLT wheels

I have a silver 01 and really like the factory wheels and was wondering if anyone has attempted to paint them black?

They the polished forged alum ones? You will probably want to get them bead blasted to clean and prep them all in one step.

You may also just want to get them powdercoated as its not very expensive and is more durable than a rattle can finish.

Yea I just bought a set of of 35/12.5/16" Thornbirds with 3000 miles on them for $400 and was tossing around the idea off painting the rims and having a totally different looking truck...
