i dont really know how much my milage decreased because i didnt have my truck very long before the 315's went on but it seems to run a couple of hundred rpm's lower on the highway( about 1700 at 70 mph) which i would think would give you better mileage. i got them at the beggining of winter here in michigan and usually average about 15 mpg, the best per tank i have seen is 18 mpg. i drive about half and half city/highway and pin it all the time so what i get may be different then if i were to drive it easy. hope this helps

I lost 4 mpg with 305 x 85 r16, but I had 6 on the ground . My mileage has gone back to 22 with the smaller tires I run now

I lose 5-6mpg in every situation BUT highway with my 315's vs the stock 265's. Depends on my speed on the highway for mileage around 60 its about the same. I also get MUCH better mileage towing with the 265's.

I'm running 285/70/17 Toyo's. They dropped my rpm's about 150--but my mileage stayed the same. I think anything bigger will cost you some mileage.

You gotta think the bigger tires weigh quite a bit more, especially if you get MT tires, all that tread.. But id lose a few MPG to run bigger MT tires any day
