Help me understand tire sizes please

Alright its about time for a new set of rubbers. Right now i have 265/75r/16 i like the height of the tire but i would like a wider tread. Do i need to get wider rims or can i get a little bit wider tire on my stock aluminum 01 rims? Also i have nitto terra grapplers and i absolutely hate them!!! They are way to loud and ride like a 2x4. I was thinking about some Bfg radial t/as i like the look of them. But then again should i get some A/ts since the trucks sees some dirt on job sites?

A 275/70/16 would be the same height just a little wider and a 305/70/16 would be about an inch taller and quite abit wider.

315's are like 35's and would probably be to big and probably not look that good either. I would say max size will be the 305/70's. Here is a pic of my truck with 305/70/16 and they hit on the inside of the fender well but these wheels are wider with a different offset too.
